A decision initially aimed at delegating power to a single figure has taken a different turn in Côte d’Ivoire’s PPA-CI. Instead of one appointee, President Laurent Gbagbo has chosen five seasoned party members to share key leadership roles.

The reshuffle places Assoa Adou at the helm as first vice-president, tasked with upholding the party’s ideological line and ensuring strict adherence to its principles.
