Coordinated strikes target armed factions in Mali’s north

In an official statement, the FAMA reported eliminating approximately one hundred armed combatants during operations carried out on Tuesday. These efforts specifically targeted members of the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) and the Azavad Liberation Front (FLA). The operations included 13 precision airstrikes, resulting in the destruction of six armored vehicles and a pickup truck used for mobility and logistics.

Sustained counter-terrorism efforts across Mali

The military emphasized that these operations are part of an ongoing nationwide campaign against armed groups, reinforcing their commitment to maintaining discipline and resolve in future missions. The statement highlighted continued collaboration with partners to ensure the effectiveness and precision of each operation.

Russian Africa Corps reports additional successes

The Russian Africa Corps, operating alongside Malian forces, confirmed the destruction of multiple militant vehicles through targeted strikes. A drone under their command successfully intercepted another vehicle transporting ammunition and military equipment, further crippling the operational capacity of the armed factions.

The Corps described the missions as highly effective joint operations, pledging to persist in neutralizing militant positions and confiscating their resources to weaken their influence in the region.
