Ivorian prime minister rallies investors for 2026-2030 development plan
Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé convened over 700 investors in Abidjan to accelerate Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation under the National Development Plan (NDP) 2026-2030.
The second day of the National Development Plan (NDP) Consultative Group for 2026-2030, dedicated to attracting private investment, took place on July 9, 2026, in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.
“This marks a decisive milestone in our collective effort to mobilize private capital for the implementation of Côte d’Ivoire’s ambitious development agenda,” declared the Prime Minister. “I am pleased to note that over 700 investors from friendly nations have joined this crucial dialogue to drive economic growth.”
Before an audience of business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives who traveled to Abidjan for the event, the Head of Government emphasized that this gathering serves as a vital platform for collaboration. It fosters alignment between public policy and private sector priorities while reinforcing a shared vision for sustainable development.
“Your presence here today reflects the confidence you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and its capacity for expansion,” he stated. “As key partners, you play an instrumental role in turning our vision into reality—building a more competitive, job-creating economy.”
The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the engine of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors that the country’s proven resilience—coupled with an average annual growth rate of 6.5% over recent years—positions Côte d’Ivoire among Africa’s fastest-growing economies.
“Today, you face a thriving market brimming with opportunities,” he added. “The discussions and agreements forged today will accelerate investments in priority sectors outlined in the NDP 2026-2030—industrialization, local processing of raw materials, infrastructure development (transport, digital, logistics), and human capital investment.”
He highlighted how these commitments will enhance the country’s competitiveness and global appeal, driving productivity and inclusivity across the economy.
Notably, the first day of the Consultative Group, focused on institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire.
In response, leaders from the Confédération générale des Entreprises de Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF), Confédération générale des Entreprises du Maroc (CGEM), and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) reaffirmed their strong support for the Ivorian government’s vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to ensure the successful execution of the NDP 2026-2030.
