The second phase of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Advisory Group meeting, focused on private investment, took place on July 9, 2026, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan. Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé led the session, emphasizing the need to mobilize private capital to support the country’s ambitious economic vision.

Addressing more than 700 investors from allied nations, the Prime Minister highlighted this gathering as a pivotal moment for fostering dialogue with the private sector and aligning on shared growth objectives. “This marks a critical milestone in our consultative process, centered on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation,” he stated. “I am pleased to report that over 700 investors from friendly countries have joined us for this purpose.”

The event drew top business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives to Abidjan, where Mambé reiterated the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He underscored the nation’s economic resilience, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years and positioning Côte d’Ivoire among Africa’s most dynamic economies.

“This expanding market presents unparalleled opportunities,” he noted. “The discussions today will accelerate investments in key sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local raw material processing to boost value addition, strategic infrastructure development in transport, digital technology, and logistics to enhance competitiveness, as well as investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services to foster a more productive and inclusive economy.”

The Prime Minister also reflected on the first day of the advisory group, which focused on institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy. That session attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including local stakeholders.

In response, leaders of major business federations and financial institutions pledged their support. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), alongside Mehdi Tazi of Morocco’s General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and Mohamed Gouled of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s leadership and expressed readiness to contribute substantial financial commitments to the PND 2026-2030.
