Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé inaugurated the second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, bringing together over 700 international investors to bolster the nation’s economic trajectory.
The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group kicked off on July 9, 2026, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan, with Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé at the helm. The session focused exclusively on attracting private investment to drive the nation’s economic ambitions forward.
« This marks another critical milestone in our consultative process, centered on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation, » stated the Prime Minister. « My satisfaction knows no bounds as we welcome over 700 international investors who have traveled to join this vital initiative. »
The gathering drew top business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives to Abidjan, where the Prime Minister emphasized the meeting’s dual purpose: fostering dialogue with private stakeholders and aligning on a unified development vision.
« Your commitment speaks volumes about the confidence you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth prospects, » he remarked. « You are instrumental in turning our vision into reality—a vision of a more competitive, job-creating economy. Success hinges on your willingness to invest. »
The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors of the nation’s economic resilience and adaptability, highlighting an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years that places Côte d’Ivoire among Africa’s most dynamic economies.
« This is a market brimming with opportunity, » he declared. « Today’s discussions will fast-track investments in the PND 2026-2030 priority sectors, including industrialization, local raw material processing to boost value-added production, infrastructure development in transport, digital technology, and logistics to enhance competitiveness, and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services to foster a more productive and inclusive economy. »
He also noted that the first day of the Consultative Group, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire.
In response, leaders from the private sector echoed their support. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the Africa Committee of the French Business Movement (MEDEF), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), pledged substantial financial commitments to aid in the implementation of the PND 2026-2030.
