In a bold move to reassert its presence in Gabon’s political arena, the Centre des Libéraux Réformateurs (CLR) convened its leadership this weekend in Libreville. The gathering, held at the Cabaret des Artistes in the 5th arrondissement, marked the official relaunch of the party’s activities ahead of its next congress in 2027. Founded by Jean-Boniface Assélé, the CLR seeks to reorganize, reinvigorate its grassroots support, and reaffirm its backing for President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema.
