Chelsea Announces Record-Breaking Transfer of Morgan Rogers
Chelsea FC has announced the signing of English international Morgan Rogers, who joins the club on a long-term contract until 2033.
The 23-year-old forward, who played for Aston Villa before joining Chelsea, will be part of Xabi Alonso’s squad ahead of the new season.
Rogers, who has consistently impressed with his skills in the Premier League, has already scored 40 goals in 85 league matches for Aston Villa and helped the team win the Europa League last season.
In international competitions, Rogers has represented England in 22 matches and played a crucial role in their third-place finish at the 2026 World Cup.
The transfer of Rogers to Chelsea was reportedly worth £117 million (138 million euros), making it the second-most expensive transfer in Premier League history after Alexander Isak’s move from Newcastle to Liverpool last summer.
Chelsea had initially been interested in signing Rogers before Arsenal, but ultimately secured the deal.
