Chad’s president deby itno convenes high-level security summit

President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, also known as Marshal of Chad, convened a comprehensive security summit on Thursday, July 9th. This critical assembly took place just hours following his return to the capital city after concluding an official visit to Abu Dhabi.

Emphasizing the paramount importance of national security, this gathering brought together the nation’s most senior security sector leaders. Attendees included the commanding officers of Chad’s principal defense and security forces.

Discussions at the meeting focused on a thorough review of Chad’s evolving overall security landscape. During this assessment, the Head of State and the assembled officials meticulously analyzed security dynamics along the country’s borders, strategies for countering asymmetric threats, maintaining public order, and ensuring the safety and protection of citizens and their assets across the entire national territory.
