However, the club’s decision to pursue Reynolds ultimately took precedence, leaving Kaboré without a Ligue 1 opportunity at Rennes for now.
Troyes emerges as Kaboré’s potential next destination
With Rennes no longer in the running, Kaboré is expected to attract multiple suitors. Manchester City is open to either a permanent transfer or another loan deal to facilitate his departure.
Recent reports suggest an unexpected opportunity could arise closer to home. ESTAC Troyes has reportedly expressed interest in signing the former Marseille player. The move could provide Kaboré with a fresh start at a club aiming for a competitive push in Ligue 1, where he would likely feature prominently in their plans for the 2026-27 season.
