Oicha’s general hospital receives vital ambulance in Nord-Kivu humanitarian effort

Alain Akpadji, the Representative for UNFPA, recently presented a fully equipped medical ambulance to the Oicha General Reference Hospital. This crucial donation, specifically designated for the maternity and obstetrics department, aims to facilitate the rapid and free transfer of medical emergencies to appropriate care facilities.

This initiative primarily benefits pregnant women experiencing complications, survivors of sexual violence, critically injured children, and those wounded in conflict. Previously, the absence of suitable medical transport often turned patient transfers into a perilous, frequently fatal, ordeal.
