Morocco’s throne day celebrated in Niamey, strengthening Niger ties

In a significant symbolic gesture, the Moroccan ambassador to Niger, joined by the Nigerien Minister of Foreign Affairs, officially inaugurated the ceremony commemorating the 27th anniversary of the Throne Day. This momentous occasion served as an opportunity to reflect on the substantial achievements made by the Kingdom under the leadership of King Mohammed VI.

Ambassador Mohammed Iboumraten, Morocco’s envoy in Niamey, highlighted the profound transformation Morocco has undergone. He noted, “Morocco has dramatically reshaped its infrastructure, industrial landscape, geopolitical standing, and social protection frameworks. Key sectors such as automotive, aeronautics, agro-industry, pharmaceuticals, and renewable energies have fundamentally altered the nation’s productive structure.“

The celebratory event also provided a platform to underscore the exceptional friendship and robust cooperation between Morocco and Niger. These historical ties continue to strengthen year after year, fostered by strategic partnerships across numerous sectors of mutual benefit.

The Ambassador further elaborated, “Cooperation between Morocco and Niger is built upon deep historical roots, strong bonds of solidarity, and a shared commitment to enhancing bilateral relations across political, economic, security, cultural, and spiritual spheres. His Majesty the King’s dedicated attention to Niger has been demonstrated through two royal visits and a consistent commitment to fostering a balanced and mutually advantageous partnership.“

The festivities continued in a warm and convivial atmosphere. Dignitaries, members of the diplomatic corps, and invited guests engaged in spirited exchanges, collectively commemorating this significant anniversary of the Throne Day.
