Camrail’s 27-year economic boost to Cameroon exceeds $1.2 billion

Over the past 27 years, Camrail has injected an estimated 750 billion Central African CFA francs (approximately $1.25 billion) into Cameroon’s economy. This figure was disclosed by Pierre Ngon, the Managing Director of the country’s railway concessionaire, during a press briefing held in Douala on June 22, 2026.
