Fousseyni Sangaré, who specializes in agricultural tools, notes a seasonal surge in activity as planting season approaches. « Farmers come looking for plows, hoes and soil preparation tools, » he says. « This year, however, supply chains to rural areas are strained due to ongoing security challenges. Most of my stock still comes from Koutiala, and I’m grateful that loyal customers continue to support me despite tighter budgets. »

Adama Konaté, with 27 years in the trade, reflects on the market’s evolution. « The bicycle repair and assembly business has grown stronger recently, » he observes. « Rising fuel costs have made two-wheelers a practical alternative for many commuters. We offer a variety of models to suit different needs and budgets. » His experience underscores how local markets adapt to economic shifts, turning challenges into opportunities.
