Ivorian PM rallies investors at PND 2026-2030 consultative forum in Abidjan

Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, kicked off today at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan. Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé presided over the opening session, emphasizing the critical role of private capital in driving Côte d’Ivoire’s ambitious growth agenda.

« This marks another milestone in our collective effort to harness investment, foster entrepreneurship, and generate sustainable value, » Beugré Mambé stated. « The response has been overwhelming, with over 700 investors from friendly nations joining us today to explore opportunities in our dynamic economy. »

The event brought together business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives who traveled to Abidjan to engage in high-level discussions. The Prime Minister highlighted the forum as a vital platform for aligning public and private sector visions to accelerate Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation.

« Your partnership is a vote of confidence in our economic trajectory and growth potential, » he told the audience. « Your investments will be pivotal in building a more competitive, job-creating economy. Success hinges on your ability to seize these opportunities and invest boldly in our future. »

Beugré Mambé underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the engine of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic modernization. He reassured investors of the country’s economic resilience, citing an average annual growth rate of 6.5% over recent years and its standing as one of Africa’s fastest-growing economies.

« Today, you are presented with a market brimming with potential, » he said. « This forum will fast-track investments in priority sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, strategic infrastructure development—particularly in transport, digital technology, and logistics—and human capital investment to drive productivity and inclusivity. »

The Prime Minister also noted that the first day of the forum, focused on institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including the host nation.

Speaking on behalf of the investor community, Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and Chair of the Africa Committee of France’s MEDEF, and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s vision.
