Finadev Tchad faces liquidation after cobac revokes license
The Central African Banking Commission (COBAC) has revoked the operating license of Financial Development Chad (FINADEV Tchad S.A.), a microfinance institution, placing it under compulsory liquidation.
A formal announcement issued on May 21 confirmed that the decision, dated February 5, 2026, was taken as a disciplinary measure against the second-tier microfinance operator headquartered in N’Djamena.
Following the receipt of the notice, FINADEV Tchad S.A. is now officially under liquidation proceedings. The regulatory body has designated a liquidator to oversee the process, with a mandate set for a maximum of one year, subject to extension if circumstances require.
