Côte d’Ivoire’s investment forum draws 700+ global investors for 2026-2030 development plan

Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, exclusively focused on investors, kicked off today at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.

The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of this phase, stating, “This marks another critical milestone in our journey to engage private investors, stimulate entrepreneurship, and foster value creation. Our goal is clear: mobilizing the private capital needed to turn this ambitious development vision into reality.” He added, “We’ve welcomed over 700 investors from friendly nations, all contributing to this pivotal dialogue.”

The event brought together a diverse audience — business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives — all converging in Abidjan to strengthen collaboration. The Prime Minister highlighted the forum as a vital platform for aligning private sector ambitions with Côte d’Ivoire’s growth trajectory.

“Your commitment speaks volumes about the confidence you place in our economic potential and growth prospects,” he remarked. “As key partners, your investments will be instrumental in building a more competitive, job-generating economy.” He underscored that the government’s strategy hinges on private sector leadership to drive economic transformation.

Côte d’Ivoire’s economic resilience has been evident in recent years, with an average growth rate of 6.5% despite global volatility. “This growth trajectory confirms our position among Africa’s most dynamic economies,” the Prime Minister noted, reassuring investors of the nation’s stability and opportunities.

He outlined sectors primed for investment under the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local raw material processing, infrastructure development (transport, digital, logistics), human capital investment, and innovation. These areas, he stressed, are critical to enhancing competitiveness and creating an inclusive, high-productivity economy.

The first day of the forum, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, saw participation from over 3,000 delegates across 49 countries, including local stakeholders.

Leading industry voices echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), along with Mehdi Tazi of Morocco’s CGEM and Mohamed Gouled of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their confidence in the government’s vision. “We are fully committed to mobilizing substantial financial resources to support the PND 2026-2030,” they stated, signaling a strong willingness to collaborate.
