Côte d’Ivoire’s 2026-2030 development plan gains momentum with investor engagement

Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé rallies investors to drive Côte d’Ivoire’s economic vision

Abidjan, 09 July 2026 – The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, kicked off in grand fashion at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan. Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé led the opening session, emphasizing the critical role of private sector engagement in transforming Côte d’Ivoire’s economic landscape.

“Today marks a pivotal step in our investment-focused consultation, where we unite businesses and entrepreneurs to forge a shared path toward sustainable growth and value creation,” he declared. With over 700 international investors in attendance, the Prime Minister highlighted the unprecedented turnout as a testament to the nation’s economic promise and investor confidence.

The gathering brought together industry leaders, investors, and private sector representatives, all drawn to Abidjan to explore opportunities within Côte d’Ivoire’s dynamic market. Robert Beugré Mambé underscored the event’s dual purpose: fostering dialogue between public and private stakeholders while aligning on a unified development strategy.

“Your presence here today is more than an investment in Côte d’Ivoire’s future—it’s a vote of confidence in our economy’s potential to innovate, grow, and create jobs,” he told the audience. “Together, we can build a more competitive and inclusive economy that leaves no one behind.”

The Prime Minister affirmed the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind the country’s economic transformation. Côte d’Ivoire’s economic resilience—marked by an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years—has solidified its reputation as one of Africa’s most vibrant economies, even amid global instability.

“This is a market on the rise, offering unparalleled opportunities for investment,” he stated. The day’s agenda focused on accelerating investments in key PND 2026-2030 sectors, including industrialization, local raw material processing, infrastructure development (transport, digital, logistics), and human capital enhancement. These investments aim to boost productivity, inclusivity, and the nation’s global competitiveness.

The first day of the Consultative Group, centered on institutional partners and development strategy presentations, drew over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire. The momentum continued as industry leaders reaffirmed their backing for the national vision.

Speaking on behalf of investors, Ahmed Cissé (President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire, or CGECI), Mehdi Tazi (President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises, or CGEM), and Mohamed Gouled (Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation, or IFC) expressed their confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s leadership. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030’s implementation, signaling a new chapter of collaboration between public and private sectors.
