Chad supreme court schedules succès masra hearing for may 2026
Tchad Supreme Court confirms May 21, 2026 hearing date for Succès Masra case
The judicial saga surrounding Succès Masra has reached a significant milestone. The Tchad Supreme Court’s second criminal division has officially scheduled a public hearing for the case on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 9:00 AM.
A formal notice, issued and signed in N’Djamena on May 19, 2026, by the division’s presiding judge, Mr. Samir Adam Annour, confirms the hearing. The case, designated as number 092/25, pits Succès Masra and co-defendants from Mandakao—represented by a defense team led by prominent lawyer Me Kadjilem-baye Francis—against the public prosecutor’s office and the Tchadien state, represented by the State Legal Agency (AJE).
The upcoming session will focus on reviewing a cassation appeal against the criminal ruling (case number 018/25) issued by the N’Djamena Court of Appeal on August 9, 2025. The proceedings will be presented by Magistrate Amadou Oumarou.
