High security trial of succès masra at N’Djamena supreme court
The Supreme Court in N’Djamena is under unprecedented security lockdown today, with elite units from the National Guard, gendarmerie, and police forces deployed to enforce strict access controls.
Entry to the court premises is tightly restricted, with journalists and camera crews barred from the hearing chamber. Only authorized personnel and core participants are permitted inside the small, high-security courtroom where today’s proceedings are unfolding.
At the heart of the session is a high-stakes legal showdown between the Supreme Court’s presiding judge and a team of ten defense attorneys representing Dr. Succès Masra, leader of the Transformers Party. The case centers on a recent cassation appeal filed against the August 9, 2025 ruling by the Criminal Chamber of the Court of Appeal, which handed down a 20-year prison sentence to Dr. Masra.
