In a heartfelt address marking Côte d’Ivoire’s 66th Independence Day, former parliamentarian Méambly Tié Évariste shared a personal message with his fellow Ivoirians, particularly those from the Cavally, Guémon, and Tonkpi regions. He reflected on his decades of public service while outlining a bold new direction for his career.
« The service of our nation extends far beyond political office, » he stated. « True dedication lies in leveraging experience, knowledge, and unwavering commitment to uplift Côte d’Ivoire and the African continent in every possible way. »
From political halls to academic excellence
With emotion and gratitude, the former Deputy of the Nation recounted his 10-year tenure in parliament, his role as the first President of the Guémon Regional Council, and his leadership of the parliamentary group Agir pour le Peuple. These experiences, he explained, shaped his vision and reinforced his lifelong dedication to national development.
Since leaving active politics in 2020, Méambly Tié Évariste has pursued advanced studies in Tunisia and France. He earned a Master’s in organizational management, followed by another in public policy with a specialization in African potential at Sciences Po Paris. Currently, he is finalizing a doctorate in management sciences, set for defense in October 2026.
A legacy of resilience and knowledge
Parallel to his academic journey, he has contributed to public discourse through three published works. His first book, Vaincre ou l’art de transformer l’adversité en engagement, explores resilience and perseverance. The second, Partenariat public-privé et financement des infrastructures routières en milieu rural, examines innovative financing models for rural infrastructure. A third book, scheduled for release in October 2026, will focus on entrepreneurship, real estate, and economic development.
Entrepreneurship and investment for Africa’s future
After establishing most of his economic ventures outside Côte d’Ivoire since 2012, Méambly Tié Évariste now resides in France, where he continues to expand his business network and international partnerships. With his doctorate on the horizon, he has decided to dedicate his energy fully to entrepreneurship, job creation, and strategic investment across Africa.
« This is not a rejection of my past, » he emphasized. « It is a natural progression toward new challenges that align with my vision for our continent’s future. » He expressed his continued support for initiatives promoting peace, national cohesion, education, innovation, and youth empowerment.
In closing, he expressed deep gratitude to the people of Cavally, Guémon, and Tonkpi for their lifelong trust. He urged them to uphold the values of unity, hard work, solidarity, and brotherhood as pillars of Côte d’Ivoire’s strength.
