From July 28 to August 1, 2026, Bamako hosted the fourth edition of Mali’s Digital Week (SENUMA), where Niger played a pivotal role. Niger’s presence extended beyond mere diplomatic courtesy. Within the framework of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), Niger and Mali are committed to aligning their digital strategies. This collaboration is crucial for advancing development and ensuring the sovereignty of states in a domain that has become strategically vital for the entire political Sahel.
A diverse delegation from Niger
For this fourth edition of SENUMA, Niger, alongside Burkina Faso, was recognized as an honored guest nation. Its delegation comprised representatives from various key national entities directly involved in crafting and implementing Niger’s digital policy.
Among the delegates present in Bamako were officials from the Ministry of Communication and New Information Technologies, the National Agency for Information Society (ANSI), the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Post (ARCEP), Niger Poste, and the Higher School of Electronic Communications and Post (ESCEP-Niger).
