New leadership for Morocco’s water sector association

Delegates gathered for a landmark assembly where a fresh leadership team was elected to steer the country’s water sector. The new executive board and administrative council now comprise 12 and 27 members respectively, drawn from both public and private stakeholders across the industry.

The extraordinary general assembly also served as a platform to unveil and ratify the Association’s ethical and financial reports. Members unanimously backed a resolution to revise the organization’s statutes, ensuring its structure evolves in step with Morocco’s water sector developments. The amendments aim to enhance industrial sovereignty and strengthen the association’s operational impact.

The Moroccan Water and Environmental Engineering Association (AMEPA), founded in 1997, now unites over 95 active members. Its diverse constituency includes public and private operators, regional multiservice companies, concession holders, industrial firms, and specialized engineering and construction enterprises focused on potable water and sanitation.

With this refreshed governance framework, the Association seeks to cultivate a more cohesive and resilient ecosystem. The goal is to elevate Morocco’s water industry, engineering prowess, and technical expertise to global standards, reinforcing the nation’s position in both African and international markets.
