Morocco shares anti-corruption expertise with Chad during Rabat meeting

The Attorney General at the King’s Court and head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, Hicham Balaoui, conducted a working session on Thursday, July 9 in Rabat with Ousmane Abderamane Djougourou, Inspector General of Chad’s Independent Anti-Corruption Authority. This meeting was part of a working visit aimed at familiarizing the Chadian delegation with Morocco’s proven strategies in preventing and combating corruption.

During the discussions, Hicham Balaoui outlined the core components of Morocco’s national anti-corruption system. He highlighted the country’s robust legal and institutional frameworks, alongside the targeted prosecutorial policies implemented by the Public Prosecutor’s Office to address corruption effectively. The Chadian delegation gained firsthand insights into several innovative initiatives spearheaded by the Public Prosecutor’s Office. These include a dedicated hotline for reporting corruption and embezzlement, as well as the e-TABLIGH digital platform. This secure system empowers citizens to report suspected corruption cases while ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of each submission through advanced digital technologies.
