Morocco bolsters defence with advanced turkish-made drones
Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces have begun operating Turkish-made Bayraktar Akıncı drones, as confirmed by satellite imagery of the sixth air base at Ben Guerir. The advanced unmanned aerial vehicles, produced by Baykar, were delivered to the kingdom early last year and are now deployed alongside the earlier Bayraktar TB2 drones already in service.
The integration of these high-altitude, long-endurance drones marks a significant upgrade to Morocco’s aerial reconnaissance and strike capabilities. The Bayraktar Akıncı is designed for extended missions and can carry a variety of munitions, enhancing the country’s ability to monitor and secure its borders and strategic interests.
