Mali military claims heavy losses inflicted on armed groups in northern operations

The Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) reported on Thursday that coordinated military operations in the northern regions of Anfif and Tabrachat resulted in the elimination of nearly a hundred armed fighters. Conducted with allied support, these operations targeted members of the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) and the Azavad Liberation Front (FLA).

Precision strikes and tactical maneuvers

Thirteen aerial strikes were launched as part of the mission, successfully destroying six armored vehicles and a pickup truck. The military emphasized the disciplined and resolute execution of these operations, which are part of an ongoing nationwide campaign against armed factions.

Collaborative efforts and strategic partnerships

The African Corps, in a statement shared on X, confirmed the destruction of multiple militant vehicles through intense firepower. Additionally, a drone deployed by the Corps intercepted and neutralized a vehicle transporting ammunition and military equipment, further disrupting enemy logistics.

The Russian Africa Corps highlighted the effectiveness of these joint operations with the Malian military, describing them as highly productive. They reaffirmed their commitment to continuing targeted strikes against militant positions and equipment, reinforcing the collaborative effort to dismantle armed groups operating in the region.
