Dembélé reflects on ‘incredible’ PSG victory over Bayern
Ousmane Dembélé expressed his satisfaction following Paris Saint-Germain’s thrilling 5-4 victory over Bayern Munich in an extraordinary Champions League semi-final first leg, and he is already looking forward to an exciting return match in Germany next week.
Speaking to Canal+ Foot after being named man of the match, Ousmane Dembélé described the clash between PSG and Bayern Munich as a contest featuring “two great teams that attack, that don’t ask questions.” He highlighted the quality of both sides, noting, “These are the semi-finals of the Champions League, we know that Bayern is a great team. We are too.”
Reflecting on the performance, Dembélé admitted to a slight drop in intensity. “We are happy with the result, even if at 5-2, we stopped playing a bit towards the end,” he confessed. Calling the game “an incredible match,” he immediately turned his attention to the second leg. “Now we will go to Munich (on Wednesday, May 6th, at 9 PM) and win another match to qualify; we must remain focused.” He predicted another open and thrilling encounter, stating, “We are not going to change our philosophy, we will attack, and they will attack too, so I think it will make for a beautiful second match.”
