Chad’s President, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, touched down in N’Djamena late yesterday evening, concluding a significant official trip to the United Arab Emirates.

During the visit, the Chadian head of state engaged in two key meetings with UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The first discussion took place at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi, while the second meeting was held at the Chadian President’s residence.

Upon his arrival in N’Djamena, the President was greeted by a high-profile delegation including the Prime Minister, Ambassador Allah-Maye Halina, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, multiple cabinet ministers, the State Minister and Secretary-General of the Presidency, along with senior military and civilian advisors. The Mayor of N’Djamena was also present to welcome the President back to Chad.
