Burkina Faso sends young talents to global AI competition in Kazakhstan
The Burkinabè delegation has arrived in Astana, Kazakhstan, as of August 2, 2026, to compete in the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) 2026, a prestigious global event showcasing top young AI talents.
Pascaline Lompo and Madina Toé, two exceptional students, will represent Burkina Faso after undergoing rigorous national selections and intensive training in machine learning. They will be guided by their Team Leader, Ariel Shadrac Ouédraogo, throughout the competition.
This participation provides a vital platform for the Burkinabè representatives to benchmark their skills against global peers while highlighting Burkina Faso’s growing capabilities in artificial intelligence.
