Yaoundé senate ready for june 2026 session opening after final inspection

The Cameroon Senate is fully prepared for the opening of its ordinary session for June 2026, scheduled for tomorrow, 9 June 2026.

Demonstrating administrative thoroughness, the Secretary-General of the Senate, Mr. Gustave Léopold Ngane, along with the Deputy Secretary-General and senior officials, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Senate facilities at the Economic and Social Council this morning, 8 June 2026.

This final assessment was aimed at verifying the readiness of all critical infrastructure needed for the smooth running of parliamentary work. The delegation carefully examined the conference rooms, the VIP reception lounge, the banquet halls, and the main hemicycle where senators will convene throughout the session.

Following the inspection, the Secretary-General expressed full confidence in the operational preparedness of all installations. He confirmed that all logistical and technical preparations have been completed ahead of the session’s opening.

In keeping with parliamentary tradition, the ordinary session for June will primarily focus on deliberations regarding the budget orientation, strategic exchanges between the Upper House and the Court of Accounts of the Supreme Court, as well as the thorough review and adoption of draft laws.
