Tchad baccalaureat 2026: 106 231 candidates face aux epreuves ecrites

With 106,231 registered candidates, Chad prepares for its 2026 baccalaureate written exams under strict supervision and optimized logistics to uphold examination integrity nationwide.

Chad baccalaureate 2026 written exams preparation

As the June 2026 baccalaureate written exams approach, Chad’s education authorities have finalized preparations to ensure a smooth and credible examination process for over 100,000 candidates across the country.

In N’Djamena, the head of the baccalaureate jury, Professor Doumpa Mian Asmbaye, held a press conference on June 7 to outline key organizational measures and share this year’s statistics. A total of 106,231 candidates are registered for the general and technical secondary education exams, scheduled from June 8 to 13 in 160 examination centers nationwide and one abroad in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Demographic breakdown and registration trends

The candidate pool includes 60,501 boys (56.95%) and 45,730 girls (43.05%), reflecting a slight increase in female participation compared to the previous session, when 45,536 girls were registered. Additionally, 5,893 foreign candidates (5.55%) will sit for the exams, highlighting Chad’s commitment to inclusive education.

Strategic exam center distribution

To enhance accessibility and logistical efficiency, authorities have designated 160 examination centers: 31 in N’Djamena, 128 in regional areas, and 1 overseas. This distribution aims to reduce travel burdens on candidates while maintaining rigorous security and organizational standards.

Strict anti-cheating measures

Professor Asmbaye emphasized the importance of adhering to examination rules, particularly the Joint Order No. 48 dated May 6, 2026, which prohibits the use of mobile phones in exam halls and surrounding areas. The “baccalaureate police” regulations, prominently displayed in every center, mandate strict enforcement by invigilators, with violations potentially leading to disqualification.

Call for collective vigilance

The jury chair appealed to educational authorities, military personnel, parents, and all stakeholders to collaborate in ensuring a successful and transparent examination process. “The credibility of the Chadian baccalaureate depends on the vigilance of every participant,” he stated, urging candidates to approach the exams with discipline and determination.

With high expectations and significant stakes, the upcoming baccalaureate exams represent a pivotal moment for thousands of students nationwide. Authorities have expressed confidence in the system’s preparedness, pledging unwavering support for candidates as they embark on this critical academic milestone.
