Khady Diène Gaye has strongly refuted allegations made by Abdourahmane Diouf concerning Ousmane Sonko’s stance on debt restructuring. The former Sports Minister, who previously served in the cabinet alongside Diouf, expressed her absolute shock at his assertions that the current head of the National Assembly and former Prime Minister had approved such a financial strategy.

A sharp rebuttal over debt restructuring claims

In a highly critical public statement, the Pastef official condemned Diouf’s remarks as outright fabrications. She did not hold back, declaring that after failing in every endeavor, he has resorted to spreading absurd untruths. She admitted she was utterly dumbfounded to learn that the minister was linking Ousmane Sonko to an agreement on national debt restructuring.

She pointed out that he had tried and failed at numerous ventures abroad before returning to Sénégal, specifically highlighting his unsuccessful attempt to pass the bar exam between 2007 and 2008.
