Gabon president brice oligui nguema has started a three-day state visit to France, his second official visit since taking office.

the gabonese president is accompanied by a delegation of business leaders, politicians and journalists as he meets with his french counterpart emmanuel macron.

objectives include strengthening the partnership between Libreville and Paris in key sectors such as investment, infrastructure, renewable energy, industrialisation, culture and trade.

Libreville aims to develop a domestic industry capable of transforming manganese, a sector in which Gabon is a leading global producer. the country also plans to reduce its export of raw mineral to 2029 in order to increase added value.
