Gabon political groups unite after nationwide tour to push for collaboration
Le Parti des 7 Merveilles du Peuple Gabonais (7MP) and the Mouvement Oligui Nguema 100% (MON 100%) have unveiled the results of their nationwide tour conducted from June 4 to 25, 2026, across all nine provinces of Gabon. The findings were shared during a press conference held at the Cité Damas, highlighting key takeaways from their mission and outlining future strategic directions.
The delegation, led by Joël Ngoueneni Ndzengouma—founder and president of both the 7MP and MON 100%—engaged with citizens, activists, and local leaders to assess the country’s social and political landscape following the 2025 presidential election. « This tour was not just about listening; it was about forging stronger ties and understanding the daily realities faced by Gabonese people,» Ndzengouma explained.
The tour also strengthened internal structures within both movements, as Ndzengouma noted: « Since June 4, 2026, the 7MP and MON 100% have merged efforts to build on the momentum from February 8, 2025,» reinforcing their commitment to collective action.
Throughout the journey, discussions centered on pressing concerns raised by communities, including youth employment, access to clean water, infrastructure conditions, healthcare, education, and rising living costs. « Our goal was to listen, evaluate, and respond to the needs expressed by the people,» he added.

As part of their mission, the organizations restructured provincial coordinations, updated membership databases, and welcomed new recruits. « The tour helped us identify new local leaders, solidify MON 100%’s presence across all nine provinces, and secure 1,000 new membership registrations,» Ndzengouma confirmed.
The press conference drew political figures, including Angélique Ngoma, Secretary-General of the Parti démocratique gabonais (PDG), and Gervais Oniane, President of the Union pour la République (UPR). Oniane emphasized the need for political unity, stating: « Parties must collaborate in a spirit of shared responsibility to support the nation’s transformative journey,» urging dialogue as a pathway forward.
In closing, leaders from the 7MP and MON 100% proposed establishing a joint consultation platform for political parties backing President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema. They argued that such a framework would enhance coordination and foster collective progress.
