Gabon-EU talks to focus on governance, economy and sustainability

The Gabonese government and the European Union will convene a pivotal political dialogue in Libreville on June 8, 2026, at the Palais des Congrès de la Cité de la Démocratie. This high-level meeting marks a significant milestone in strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two entities. In preparation, Vice-President of the Government Hermann Immongault led a preparatory session on June 4 to align Gabon’s strategic positions ahead of discussions with EU ambassadors accredited to the country. The session followed the nation’s transition to the Fifth Republic, with the last dialogue held in 2024 during the transitional period.
