In a formal ceremony held at the Palais Toumaï, the newly appointed European Union ambassador, Amador Sanchez Rico, officially presented his credentials to President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno on May 19. The event underscored the strengthening of diplomatic ties between Chad and the European Union.

The gathering was attended by Fatimé Aldjineh Garfa, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responsible for African Integration and Chadian nationals abroad. The EU diplomat was accompanied by Sona Jarosova, Head of the Political Section, and Karl Rawert, Head of Cooperation for the European Union Delegation in Chad.

This milestone event marks the official commencement of the ambassador’s three-year mission in Chad, dedicated to fostering mutual cooperation and tangible outcomes for the Chadian people.
