US and Chad deepen ties in security and economic cooperation
The US Assistant Secretary for African Affairs and Chad’s Ambassador to the US explored ways to strengthen bilateral security and economic ties during a meeting in Washington.
During a high-level meeting at the US Department of State in Washington, D.C., Assistant Secretary for African Affairs Frank Garcia engaged with Chad’s Ambassador to the US, Mahamat Tahir Orozi. The talks took place as the United States prepares to mark its Independence Day and reflect on six decades of diplomatic relations with Chad, which will be commemorated next month.
The discussions centered on bolstering security collaboration, deepening economic ties, and fostering private sector investments between the two nations. Both sides underscored the importance of these efforts in strengthening the long-standing partnership.
