University of Lomé and Creighton University forge strategic academic partnership

The University of Lomé (UL) is expanding its global reach. On Friday, June 5, 2026, the institution signed a framework cooperation agreement with Creighton University, a Jesuit university located in Omaha, Nebraska, United States.

The agreement was signed by University of Lomé President Professor Kossivi Hounaké and Creighton University President Reverend Father Daniel Hendrickson. Through this partnership, both institutions aim to strengthen their collaboration in education, research, and knowledge sharing.

The accord outlines joint education and research programs, as well as promoting mobility for students, faculty, and researchers. It also paves the way for organizing conferences, seminars, and other scientific activities of mutual interest.

Both institutions also commit to facilitating the sharing of academic resources and developing collaborative projects. Special attention is given to intellectual property protection and confidentiality of information exchanged within research work.

5-year agreement

Concluded for an initial period of five years, renewable, this agreement offers new prospects for scientific and academic cooperation benefiting the university community.

With this new partnership, the University of Lomé continues its policy of international openness and confirms its ambition to strengthen its presence in global university networks.
