« Mecca exceeded every expectation. This first pilgrimage has been a blessing, and I am filled with joy. Everything unfolded perfectly… Our prayers were focused on restoring peace and social unity in Burkina Faso », she shared with deep emotion.
The government’s representative, Saïdou Sankara, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Mobility, conveyed official appreciation for the smooth execution of Hadj 2026. Though a full assessment was yet to be finalized, he confirmed no major incidents had occurred during the journey.
« Tonight, we celebrate not just their safe return but the strength of their faith. On behalf of the Prime Minister, we extend our warmest congratulations and prayers. May their spiritual journey inspire hope for the nation and all who supported them », he declared.
The Federation of Islamic Associations of Burkina (FAIB), represented by El Hadj Oumarou Zoungrana, praised the meticulous coordination behind this year’s pilgrimage. The organization’s leader applauded the operational committee for ensuring a seamless experience.
