Morocco shares anti-corruption strategies with Chad

In Rabat, a significant meeting convened between Hicham Balaoui, the King’s Attorney General at the Court of Cassation and head of the Public Prosecution Office, and Ousmane Abderamane Djougourou, the Inspector General of Chad’s Independent Anti-Corruption Authority. This working session formed part of a broader visit by the Chadian delegation, specifically aimed at understanding Morocco’s established experience in the prevention and repression of corruption.

During the discussions, Mr. Balaoui detailed the core components of Morocco’s anti-corruption framework. He highlighted the robust legal and institutional structures that have been implemented, alongside the penal policies actively pursued by the Public Prosecution Office in this critical area. The dialogue also encompassed an exploration of comparative best practices in the global fight against corruption.

Furthermore, the Chadian representatives gained insight into various initiatives spearheaded by the Public Prosecution Office. These include a dedicated direct telephone hotline for reporting corruption and embezzlement, as well as the innovative “e-TABLIGH” digital platform. This advanced online tool empowers citizens to confidentially report suspected acts of corruption, ensuring secure processing of all submissions through cutting-edge digital technologies.
