Mali’s top hadith memorizers selected for international competition
The Malian branch of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Scholars organized on June 27, 2026, the national pre-selection phase of the third edition of the prestigious Nabawi Acharif Hadith memorization competition at its headquarters in Banankabougou. After a grueling day of competition, three finalists were chosen to proudly represent Mali at the upcoming international finale, where winners from 49 countries will compete.
The competition aligns perfectly with the directives of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Scholars’ Supreme Council. The pre-selection phase brought together 50 candidates from diverse Quranic schools and memorization centers across Bamako and other regions of the country.
Through this initiative, the foundation seeks to inspire young Africans to embrace the prophetic teachings. Their primary goal is to foster values of tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and moderation as outlined in these sacred texts.
