Canal+’s comprehensive coverage
As the exclusive broadcaster of the Champions League, Canal+ is pulling out all the stops for this high-stakes encounter. Starting at 09:00, its dedicated sports channel will air a full day of programming, including live updates and live links from Budapest, where the final will take place at the Puskás Aréna.
La Clinique des sports, a special program hosted by Lyes Houhou, will analyze PSG’s physical and mental preparation at 13:00, featuring contributions from health professionals and former player Alain Roche.
From 13:00, viewers can follow the Canal Bus, a mobile studio traversing the streets of Budapest, capturing the city’s atmosphere ahead of kick-off. The Canal Champions Club team—including Hervé Mathoux, Laure Boulleau, David Ginola, Robert Pirès, Christophe Jallet, Bertrand Latour, and Gauthier Kuntzmann—will be based in the bus, heading straight to the stadium. The CCC will broadcast live from pitchside starting at 16:00.
Commentary for the match itself will be provided by Paul Tchoukriel and Sidney Govou, with Margot Dumont and Dominique Armand handling pitch-side reports and interviews. Following the final whistle, the Canal Champions Club will take over again with a prime-time special, the Late Finale Club, hosted by Nicolas Tourriol. The show will feature a star-studded panel including Samir Nasri, Aline Riera, Mickaël Landreau, and Tony Chapron.
M6’s broadcast team
M6, which secured free-to-air rights to the final, is sending a team with extensive World Cup 2026 experience—having covered 54 matches—to Budapest. Commentary will be provided by Xavier Domergue and Benoît Cheyrou, with Samuel Umtiti joining as a pitch-side commentator and Virginie Sainsily covering the action from the sidelines.
Ophélie Meunier and Smaïl Bouabdellah will host pre-match and post-match coverage, joined by football legends Ludovic Giuly, Johan Djourou, and a special appearance by Luis Fernandez, despite his primary role as a pundit for beIN Sports, the exclusive pay-TV broadcaster of the World Cup.
L’Équipe’s dedicated programming
Though L’Équipe does not hold broadcasting rights for the final, it is dedicating its entire afternoon and evening schedule to the event. Programming begins at 16:45 with the L’Équipe de Greg show, hosted by Grégory Ascher. From 18:45 to 19:00, Olivier Ménard will present the L’Équipe de la mi-temps, followed by the L’Équipe du Soir from 19:55 to 22:30.
