US Federal Bureau of Investigation reinforces security collaboration for FIFA World Cup 2026 in Morocco
The Deputy Director of the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Christopher Raia, made an official visit on Wednesday to the International Police Cooperation Centre (IPCC). This centre brings together law enforcement and security officials from all nations participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, reflecting the global effort to ensure a safe and secure tournament.
Raia’s visit underscores the high-level security framework being implemented to safeguard every match of the upcoming World Cup. During his stay, the FBI official held a dedicated meeting with representatives from Morocco’s National Security Directorate and Territorial Surveillance Directorate (DGSN-DGST)—key institutions tasked with domestic and international security oversight.
The discussions centred on strengthening operational coordination, intelligence sharing, and crisis response mechanisms. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to a strategic security partnership that aligns with international standards for major sporting events.
This proactive engagement highlights Morocco’s recognition as a trusted and globally respected partner in hosting major international events, positioning the country as a reliable host for the 2026 World Cup.
