Lens psg clash why ligue 1+ won’t broadcast the high-stakes match
Lens vs PSG: why the Ligue 1 showdown won’t air on Ligue 1+

The clash between Lens and PSG could crown the Parisians as Ligue 1 champions for the 14th time. Luis Enrique’s side faces their rivals at 21:00 CET on Wednesday in the Stade Bollaert-Delelis (Lens) in a must-watch fixture. A victory here would secure the title before the season finale, with the Champions League final against Arsenal looming on 30 May.
Unfortunately for Ligue 1+ subscribers, the high-octane encounter will only be available on beIN Sports.
Fixture originally slated for beIN Sports’ slot
The showdown was initially scheduled for Saturday, 11 April at 17:15 CET—a slot reserved for beIN Sports under the current Ligue 1 broadcast agreement. Paris Saint-Germain, then engaged in the Champions League quarter-finals against Liverpool (8 and 14 April), sought a postponement due to a congested schedule featuring three matches, including two away trips, within seven days.
While Lens opposed the rescheduling, the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) sided with PSG, shifting the fixture to 13 May. Despite the date change, beIN Sports retained the broadcast rights as originally assigned.
A win for the visitors on Wednesday would hand PSG their 14th Ligue 1 title. A draw or loss would delay the celebration until the final matchday against Paris FC, while Lens would face Lyon. With a six-point lead, however, the suspense for PSG fans is nearly over.
