Kétou enforces uniform requirement for motorbike taxi drivers

Starting soon, motorbike taxi operators in Kétou must wear official uniforms while on duty. The municipal authorities have initiated an enrollment drive to implement this new regulation, designed to enhance passenger safety, streamline urban mobility, and improve driver accountability across all six districts of the city.

Enrollment for the uniforms will take place from July 6 to July 20, 2026, at the administrative offices of each district. Drivers must present a valid ID during registration to qualify for the mandatory attire. Only those who complete this process and wear the official uniform will be permitted to accept passengers after the deadline.

Motorcycle taxi drivers who fail to comply with the uniform requirement after the enrollment period will face penalties under existing local regulations.
