Kenya and Chad bolster international security cooperation
President William Ruto of Kenya recently lauded the robust relationship between Kenya and Chad, alongside the steadfast commitment of Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno to global security efforts and the successful execution of the Africa Forward Summit.
Following a productive meeting at State House, President Ruto highlighted that the diplomatic ties between the two nations are firmly rooted in shared values, mutual respect, and a profound sense of African solidarity. He reaffirmed the joint ambition of Kenya and Chad to maintain unified stances on critical issues, ultimately serving the collective interests of African peoples, advancing continental progress, and fostering broader global cooperation.
The Kenyan head of state specifically commended Chad’s crucial participation in the United Nations-backed Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti. This engagement, President Ruto noted, significantly contributes to international endeavors aimed at restoring peace, stability, and hope within the Caribbean nation.
President Ruto concluded by expressing gratitude to his Chadian counterpart for Chad’s substantial input towards the successful Africa Forward Summit, which convened in Nairobi earlier this week. This pivotal summit took place amidst a concerted drive by France and various African partners to redefine their economic, political, and security collaborative frameworks.
