PCRN’s strategic inclusion in Cameroon’s governance

The Cameroonian Party for National Reconciliation (PCRN), under the leadership of Cabral Libii, has secured a significant position in Cameroon’s governance structure with the appointment of Rolande Ngo Issi, Deputy for Nyong and Kellé, to the Supreme Judicial Council via a presidential decree issued on June 2, 2026.

Among the newly appointed members are former Minister of Public Service Sali Dahirou, Deputy Soppo Toute Marlyse of Wouri (RDPC), former Vice President of the Special Criminal Court (TCS) Claude Francis Moukouri, Albert Ekono Nna, Engelbert Bengono, Mekoulou Cunégonde Christine (née Ngotty), Roger Sockeng, and others.

Background and achievements of Rolande Ngo Issi

Born on January 9, 1981, in Yaoundé, Rolande Ngo Issi brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She currently serves as a Deputy in the National Assembly, a deputy member of the Supreme Judicial Council (appointed by President Paul Biya), Deputy Secretary-General of the Network of Women Parliamentarians of Cameroon, member of the PCRN’s national steering committee, and Secretary-General of the PCRN’s Central Region delegation.

Since April 2016, she has also held the position of National President of the National Consumer Movement (MNC).

Ngo Issi’s academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Child Psychology from the University of Yaoundé 1 – Nkoa Ekele, a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Yaoundé 2 – Soa, and a diploma from the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS).

In 2016, she was elected President of the Cameroonian Consumer Movement, amassing a significant following on social media where she actively promotes youth engagement and entrepreneurship in Cameroon.

Key parliamentary interventions

Ngo Issi recently made headlines during the budget orientation debate, questioning the government’s ability to implement import substitution policies effectively. She highlighted critical challenges such as unreliable electricity, unstable internet connectivity, burdensome and fragmented taxation, and the need for a fair judicial system.

She also addressed the Finance Minister regarding delays in police promotions since 2017, stating, “It is clear that since 2017, no promotion increments have been processed for the police, while the army has been receiving theirs automatically.”

From education to entrepreneurship

Beyond her political career, Ngo Issi is a dynamic entrepreneur and personal development coach. She spent 11 years teaching in rural areas before venturing into politics.
