This stance extends beyond permanent transfers, as Ratcliffe has also rejected loan requests from clubs such as Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Tottenham Hotspur. The club’s leadership fears Rashford’s potential impact on rivals’ European ambitions, particularly in securing a Champions League spot, a scenario they deem unacceptable.

Rashford’s previous season at Barcelona saw him rediscover form, contributing 14 goals and 14 assists in 49 appearances.
